We are called t...I appreciate what you have shared. We are called to make disciples and that means so much more than evangelism. I use tracts in the area where I work so that people will know me. I want them to know who I am when they see me walking down the street. I want them to know what I believe. If large numbers of people in a neighborhood know who I am, those that have questions will be less intimidated to ask me for advice.

I am convinced that making disciples is a group effort. Jesus called twelve, three of which He spent more time.If the group is too large, lives are not changed and it becomes an institution, or place to belong only. If the group is too small, some may cease to attend for whatever reason, and leave a group of one.

I appreciate that the IMB is grouping people together for evangelism, then their becoming a church. I am not comfortable with the imposed time restrictions.Somehow, there needs to be community built into the group. Community is built at different speeds for different cultures.

Having said that, I recognize that I am a missionary under the authority of a sending agency that sets policy. To the best of my ability, I will abide by the guidelines that they have set as if they had been set by God himself until they change. If given an option, I would not change what I am doing now. I love it!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13441809988487585009noreply@blogger.com
